Internet Dating sites are not where online romance ends though. Many people use the Internet to flirt via chat or email, search out information on the local singles parties or find information concerning a potential partner.

Around 10% - 15% off all Internet users have looked through dating websites. 65% of those people are in committed relationships. The majority of people who have used Internet dating sites say that it helped them find a more suitable match and that it was a pleasant experience over all. Many of the people how have had Internet dating experience believe that you can meet someone on line and have a successful long term relationship. Almost 20% of people who have used Internet dating sites say they have entered long term relationships or married someone with whom they met on the Internet.

Some people believe that Internet dating is full of freaks and weirdos. This could not be further from the truth. Internet dating sites and singles sites are busting at the seams with online daters who are looking for love and even a potential life partner.
